The kick-off meeting of three national standards was held in Beijing
On the morning of June 5th, a kick-off meeting of three national standards mainly drafted by SKL of SSL was held in Beijing. More than 40 enterprises and scientific research institutions such as Philips, OSRAM, and KINGSUN attended this meeting.
The three national standards discussed in the meeting were “Interface requirements for application of LED lighting：Street light consisting of LED module with heatsink and separated control gear”, “Accelerating depreciation test method for LED lighting products (2000H)”and “Application layer communication protocols for the interface in intelligent public LED lighting systems”.

Three groups responsible for the three standards drafting were founded and their work concepts were discussed in the meeting. SKL invited more key enterprises, scientific research institutions and testing organizations to participate in the standard drafting, so as to ensure the quality of the standards, and finish them on time.
Mr. Ruan Jun, the deputy secretary-general of CSA and secretary general of CSAS, said that the national standard committee had supported the alliances to issue standards for mechanism innovation and market development. As a pilot industry, 26 standards for solid state lighting had been issued by CSAS, and other 6 standards were in drafting.
Mr. Li Jin-Min, director of SKL of SSL, said that China SSL industry developed rapidly under the support of NDRC, MOST and National Standard Committee. The standards issued by alliances could reflect the needs of industry, the new mechanism needed to be developed in the future.
